This project for Furman University consisted of more than 40 separate pieces printed on 5 different materials including 80/20 Window Perf, Scotchcal w/ Comply Graphic Film, Orajet 3164 WHITE Gloss Soft Calendered PVC Film, Calendered Overlaminate, and .220 White Acrylic.
Projects that are this complex typically involve additional rounds of proofing to ensure our customer has a clear idea of what the installed graphics will look like. In this case, once the customer approved the art, we were able to work off of a digital proof to ensure the prepress team, wide format production team, and Installation teams were all on the same page.
The digital proof we create is as simple or complex as needed depending on the scale of the job. It sometimes includes a virtual rendering of the space with measurements to indicate scale, while other times is a mock-up of what the art will look like in perspective on the actual walls (depending on the photos taken at the site visit); in this case it looked like this:
Once all of the pieces were printed and inspected for quality, our installation team arrived on-site and prepped the space by cleaning old graphics off of the walls and windows before getting to work!
Over the course of 2 days all 40 pieces were installed using the proofs as a guide.
At the end of the process, our team walked the site with the customer to confirm everything was completed to their satisfaction.
